A Police officer was charged yesterday with sexually assaulting a 32-year-old woman in Warwick last Sunday, December 8.

The 34-year-old officer, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was released on bail, but ordered to surrender his travel documents and report each week to Hamilton Police station. He elected to stand trial in Supreme Court and was ordered to appear again on January 8.
