Jamaican police have released one of the men being questioned in connection with the machete murder of a Bermudian man in Jamaica at the weekend.
Greg Daniels, 52, was hacked to death by two men with machetes on Friday evening in his garden before his house was robbed of several thousand dollars. The two men were brought in on Monday but one of them was released yesterday. Police could not give the age of the man still being held but said he was local to Hanover parish, where the slaying took place. Under Jamaican law suspects can be held for 48 hours and can be detained without charges for a further three days if permission is granted by a justice of the peace.
