Because Bermuda is one week out of step with the UK in celebrating the Queen?s birthday this year there will be no Queen?s Honours announced in time for the Island?s Queen?s birthday and parade on Monday.

While the Island is marking the official birthday with a holiday on Monday the Queen?s birthday will not be observed in the UK until the following weekend, and that is when the honours? list will be announced.

A statement from the Cabinet Office explained: ?In a notification from Government House it was observed this year Bermuda has decided to celebrate the Queen?s Birthday with a parade and holiday this weekend, the weekend before it is celebrated in London, and the honours in London are always announced the weekend they celebrate it.

?It continues that it is perfectly in order for it to be done in this way.?

The Queen?s Honours? List will be published on June 17.

The Queen?s actual date of birth is April 21.

She celebrated her 80th birthday this year.
