Recycling bins introduced

The Ministry of Works and Engineering and Housing is advising the public that it is in the process of placing 49 new, dual purpose trash bins throughout the Islands bus shelter locations in the hopes of encouraging the public to be more conscious about recycling. The Ministry said that the old bins currently at the bus shelters will be phased out. The bins are noticeably different from the previous bins particularly because they have been designed with two sections; one section to collect regular refuse and the other section to collect recyclables, such as bottles cans and plastics. The first bin was installed last week outside the Southampton Glebe Primary School.
