An arrest has been made in connection with the alleged sexual assault of an elderly man in a rest home.

Police confirmed last night that an individual had been arrested after a complaint was made last week.

Police spokesman Robin Simmons told : ?Police are investigating the alleged sexual assault of an 80-year-old man. An individual has been arrested in connection with the incident and inquiries are continuing.? No one was available at the rest home to comment last night.
