A man accused of assaulting, robbing and depriving his girlfriend of her liberty is to stand trial at Magistrates' Court.

Ernest Damon Smith, 29, of Riviera Road, Southampton, denies the offences, which he is alleged to have committed against Wynter Tiffany Daniels on Saturday (January 20).

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner yesterday adjourned the case for trial on April 24 and Smith was remanded in custody.
