Stabbing victim in ?serious? condition
A city stabbing left a teenager under intensive care last night.
The 19-year-old victim was said to be in a serious condition in intensive care, King Edward VII Memorial Hospital confirmed yesterday, after an early hours scuffle ended in a stabbing. The teenager was badly injured following an assault at the junction of Reid Street and Joell?s Alley, Pembroke, at about 5.15 a.m. yesterday.
Police said it appeared the victim was involved in an argument with three men before a fight started involving one of the suspects and the Warwick man. He was then stabbed in the upper body before the trio fled.
The main suspect was a black male, about 5ft 8ins to 5ft 11ins, with zig-zag braided hair. He was wearing a white short-sleeve shirt with green and blue stripes, blue jeans and black shoes and left the scene by foot through Joell?s Alley towards Front Street.
Of the two other suspects, one was black, about 5ft 8ins, thickly built, with straight, braided hair. He was wearing all black.
Police said the third man was light skinned, about 5ft 11ins, thickly built, with a ?close? haircut. He was wearing a white, short-sleeve shirt, dark pants and ?gator print light brown and dark brown shoes. They fled on a motorcycle that went east on Reid Street.
