Supernatural experiences follow Briton
A trick of the eye? A strange chemical reaction in the film? A hoax of some sort?
Or could it really be a ghost?
It?s time to ask yourselves what you really believe.
Phillip Ingham is unwavering in his belief ? the figure in the window of a 1999 photo of his brother?s house in England is not a live human being but a ghost.
It could be his mother, he said, who died five years before the photo was taken. Or it could be another former inhabitant of the pre-Second World War house on Oxclose Street in the town of Arnold, in Nottingham. Whoever it is, he is certain they are not living.
?The only person there was my brother, and that is not him,? he told The Royal Gazette.
In fact, he added, the figure does look remarkably like his mother, who fought a losing battle with cancer in that very house.
Mr. Ingham lived with his family in the house from 1984 until 1995. It was on a visit to his brother that he snapped the photo ? on a film which he forgot about and did not develop until just three weeks ago.
?You do pick up an atmosphere of sadness in the house,? he said, adding that he has had several other ?experiences? there ? including presences standing over him, an unseen person passing him in the kitchen, and twice being touched on the leg. ?It?s a strange atmosphere.?
Mr. Ingham said he also had an out-of-body experience in the house, and that his family was driven from a previous house on the same street after just one year because of the paranormal experiences they encountered there.
?People do tend to be very sceptical,? he admitted. ?They?re not sure what they?re dealing with, or if I?m telling the truth.?
However, Mr. Ingham has never doubted what he has experienced. ?And the other members of my family stand by what they have experienced.?
The paranormal appeared to follow Mr. Ingham to Bermuda when he moved here in 1995 to work at BTC. He said he still has strange experiences in his Somerset apartment ? shadows walking by the bed, and objects in the room being moved. ?Nothing bad,? he added. ?Like they were just checking in.
?It just leaves me with an open mind. Things are possible.?
