The Shadow Minister of Tourism and Senate Opposition Leader voiced his concerns on Wednesday over the restrictions placed on visiting yachts to Bermuda.
Kim Swan said yachts are restricted to stays of 21 days and that this was an issue worth addressing as yacht owners and crew tend to spend a great deal of money in Bermuda.
He said local businesses could only benefit from extending their stays.
?The rumour mill is churning away that Bermuda is not the friendliest of destinations because of these restrictions and this policy is working against us,? Sen. Swan said.
