Police were called to a house in Pembroke last night where a woman was found dead inside.

The call was logged at 10.43 p.m., and at the time The Royal Gazette went to press, officers were still investigating.

A marked Police car was stationed outside the house, which was about 100 yards into Fairylands Road, on the Fairylands estate. There were no immediate signs of a disturbance, and no other emergency services were on site soon after 11 p.m.

Officers at the scene refused to comment on the incident, and Police were unable to confirm or deny whether the death was suspicious or not. The identity and age of the woman was not revealed last night.
