Woman threatened Policeman
A woman who threatened a Police officer with a glass bottle appeared in Magistrate?s Court to face charges, telling the court she was upset over child support payments she is owed.
Lindell Wolffe, 28, of East Park Lane Pembroke, pleaded guilty to threatening officer Clarence Smith on May 28 in Pembroke.
Crown Counsel Cindy Clarke told the court that Wolffe raised the glass bottle in the air and said ?I?ll take you the f**k out with this bottle.?
Wolffe told Magistrate Ed King that she did not use profanity and got upset at the officer because he came close to her face and was pointing. ?I said I would mash your head in, I did not use the F word,? said Wolffe.
She said she was upset after having a phone conversation earlier in the day over $2200 in child support payments she has not received.
?I don?t want to know anything about what was in the washer,? said Mr. King.
Officers had been called in by Wolffe?s supervisor to warn her about her behaviour in reference to the phone conversation.
She was fined $450.
