Woman allegedly caught shoplifting

A woman was detained by Police after she was allegedly caught shoplifting on Saturday night.

Police were called to the Heron Bay Marketplace around 9:45 p.m., where the store manager told them he had detained the suspect, a 47-year old Pembroke woman, after she took several items from the store without paying for them.

The suspect was searched and found with several items of personal care and food items in her possession. She was subsequently taken to Somerset Police station and detained.
