Three hundred bridge enthusiasts will descend on the Island this weekend to participate in the Regional Bridge Tournament.

The week-long tournament include players from Canada and Bermuda and is highly regarded in the bridge community.

This is the 49th year the tournament has been running and the American Contract Bridge League president Dan Morse will be attending and participating this year.

Tournament Chairman, Donna Leitch, added: "Many overseas bridge players with family or friends living in Bermuda plan their visits here to coincide with the Regional.

The week culminates with a prize giving and farewell dinner dance on February 1 at which David Ezekiel will officiate.
