The Bermuda Electric Light Company Limited (Belco) has launched its annual Kite Safety campaign.

Over the next two weeks, Belco Kite Man Cornell Dunkley will visit 24 primary schools to present the company's Bird Safety Video, telling more than 1,400 Primary One and Two students about electricity and safe kite flying for Good Friday.

As part of the campaign, Belco will also be holding its annual Kite Safety Poster competition, which is open to all Primary One and Two students. Up to two winners per class will be selected on various categories. In addition, the winner's school will receive a cheque for $500 to be put towards a project that will directly benefit their class.
