Cablevision donates $1,000 to Hands of Love

Hand of Love recently received $1,000 dollars of food in donations for the second year in a row from employees at Cablevision.

The community organisation has been delivering food and clothing to people in need since 1990 and their partnership with Cablevision dates back to November 2005.

Fern Wade, administrator of the charity, received a Cablevision community service award for her commitments to community service.

Rollin Nathan, Bermuda Cablevision's sales manager, said: "We continue to be impressed by the work of Fern Wade and Hands of Love.

"Ms Wade and her team of volunteers first came to the attention of our Community Service Award nomination committee back in 2005, and since that time we have been looking for additional ways to support the efforts of Hands of Love.

"The dedicated team of people at Hands of Love work tirelessly to assist those who need help the most, and we at Cablevision continue to be inspired by their commitment to the community. We hope that our food donation will benefit Bermuda's neediest families this holiday season."
