Driver gets whiplash after flipping car

A car flipped on to its roof after the driver lost control on a bend near the entrance to Paraquet Restaurant and Apartments on South Road late on Saturday evening.

A car flipped over and ended up on its roof outside the entrance to the Paraquet Restaurant and Apartments in Paget late on Saturday evening.

The driver, a 53-year-old Warwick man who was taken to hospital with whiplash injuries, is thought to have lost control of the red car on a right-hand bend on South Road near the junction with Cataract Hill.

As a result the car collided with the entrance to the Paraquet Restaurant and Apartments and overturned, causing damage to the entrance way and to the vehicle.

Police impounded the car and are investigating the cause of the accident, which happened at 10.50 p.m. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the incident.
