Financial Assistance adjusts hours

The Department of Financial Assistance announced yesterday that it is moving to revised hours for new applicants and re-opened cases in an effort to provide a more streamlined service for clients.
As of Monday, the new hours will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday for new applicants and re-opened cases. Appointments are not necessary.
Clients will need to bring photo identification (driver's licence, voters registration card or passport) and a Social Insurance Card.
The Department will continue to be open during normal hours, from 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
The Department of Financial Assistance is located on the first floor of Global House, 43 Church Street, Hamilton.
