A young man was taken to hospital with suspected serious head injuries after he was attacked by three others last night.

Police say the victim, whose injuries are not said to be life-threatening, was set upon by the group at Beacon Hill, Sandys.

He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where onlookers said he was suffering a gashed head.

Officers were unable to provide further information last night.
