Marylee Watson's change of diet helped her shed 70 pounds in just a few months. Here's what she used to eat in a typical day:
Breakfast: Fried eggs, bacon, sausage, toast
Snacks through the morning: Chips and soda
Lunch: Hamburger and fries or fried chicken
Snacks through the afternoon: Chips and soda
Evening meal: Macaroni cheese
Before bed: Chips
This is what she eats on a typical day now:
Breakfast: Banana or small bowl of cereal with two percent milk
Mid-morning: Yoghurt or slice of watermelon, drink of water
Lunch: Turkey or low-fat cheese sandwich with wholewheat bread
Mid-afternoon: Yoghurt or slice of watermelon, drink of water
Evening meal: Small chicken breast with brown rice and cabbage
Before bed: Nothing
