Regarded by many as the world's leading forensic pathologist, Dr. Michael Baden has worked on a number of high-profile cases, including the murder trial of O.J. Simpson.

Dr. Baden is currently the chief forensic pathologist for the New York State Police, and is the former Chief Medical Examiner of New York City.

He has been a medical examiner for 45 years and has performed more than 20,000 medico-legal autopsies.

His knowledge, experience and reputation has meant he has been called as an expert witness for prosecutors or defence attorneys in a string of well-known cases.

He appeared as a witness for the defence in the O.J. Simpson trial in the 1990s, while he was also involved in the investigation into the death of British punk rock star Sid Vicious in 1979.

Dr. Baden has also been involved in inquiries into the deaths of American actor John Belushi, who died following a drugs overdose, and Scientologist Lisa McPherson, who died unpredictably days after a minor car crash.
