A woman was slashed in the face during a domestic dispute in Warwick yesterday morning.

A 31-year-old man was arrested after the incident at about 8.20 a.m. at Astwood Park on South Road.

A Police spokesman said the man appeared to have assaulted the woman with a bladed article during an argument.

“The victim suffered a laceration to the face and was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment,” he said.

“Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

“The Warwick man was arrested at the scene.

“Inquiries into this incident are under way.”
