Taxi owners and operators can pick up their new rate cards as of today from the Transport Control Department.

A ten percent hike in taxi fares was announced last month by Government. The higher fares go into effect tomorrow.

TCD said the new rate cards will be used to determine fares until all taxi meters have been recalibrated.

The department is encouraging all taxi owners and operators to collect the cards to ensure efficient customer service in time for the holidays. The cards can be collected at TCD's Traffic Section.
