Pizza delivery man mugged

Thugs set upon a pizza delivery man, taking the pizza and the man's wallet, which contained cash and personal items.

Police attended the reported robbery at 10.25 p.m. on Sunday at Greenfield Lane in Sandys parish. The 26-year-old Devonshire man told officers he went to make a delivery at a West Side Road, Sandys residence, minutes earlier.

However, when he arrived at the home, he was told no one there ordered any pizza. As he was leaving, two unknown men approached him at the junction of Greenfield Lane and Long Bay Lane.

One of the suspects grabbed the victim and held him from behind while the other suspect took the pizza, as well as the man's wallet before the men escaped.

They are described as two black men, each around six feet tall, between ages 30 to 35. One suspect had on a hooded jacket with the hood up.

Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit at 234-1010.
