Rebecca Middleton book to be published
Bermuda-based author Carol Shuman has finished her book on the notorious 1996 murder of Canadian teen Rebecca Middleton.
Becky was raped, tortured and stabbed and left to die at Ferry Reach beach.
Dr. Shuman is now pitching the 82,000 word manuscript, called 'A Vacation To Die For — The Unsolved Murder of Rebecca Middleton' at various publishers.
Cherie Booth, the wife of British Prime Minister Tony Blair, is due to come to Bermuda to represent Rebecca's family in a Supreme Court judicial review on April 16 and 17.
She will challenge the Director of Public Prosecution's decision to refuse to retest evidence or to file rape and kidnapping charges.
No-one has been convicted of her murder although Justis Smith faced the charge until a judge in 1998 ruled there was no case to answer. Another man, Kirk Mundy, was convicted of being an accessory after the fact.
