Unwanted record

Bermuda's cricket woes have reached a new low with a mind-boggling defeat suffered by the national women's team making news headlines around the world.

The team scored 13 runs, of which 10 were 'extras'. Opponents South Africa needed only four legal bowls to beat Bermuda's pitiful total — believed to be the lowest on the international stage.

Only three Bermudian players scored, each getting just one run apiece.

In reply South Africa needed less than one over to complete a 10-wicket demolition of the Island team in the World Cup match.

And the incredible margin of defeat comes only days after Bermuda's men were bundled out of the Stanford 20/20 after setting the competition's lowest ever score of 62 when playing Guyana.
