Wilhelm Bourne
Former Bermuda Solicitor General Wilhelm Bourne is to be given an honorary degree from the University of Buckingham at the weekend.
Mr. Bourne will be made a Doctor of Laws by university chancellor Sir Martin Jacomb at a ceremony at the Parish Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Buckingham on Saturday.
Mr. Bourne, 61, who gained a law degree at Buckingham in 1987, was Solicitor General on the Island from July 2001 to October 2006.
The Barbadian, who came to Bermuda in 1968, was previously a Police sergeant, defence lawyer and Principal Crown counsel here.
He is now Attorney General of Anguilla.
