Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Sinclair Robinson, of Forest Hill, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention.

Police saw Robinson travelling east at a high speed on South Shore Road in Paget, near Seabright Avenue on October 5, Insp. Peter Duffy, prosecuting, said.

Robinson overtook two vehicles and returned to the left lane just in time to avoid oncoming traffic.

Police stopped Robinson and booked him.

Robinson's lawyer Mr. Archie Warner said his client admitted "taking the opportunity to overtake cars''.

"But,'' he noted, "his speed was not excessive. There's no evidence of Mr.

Robinson being clocked for speeding. Obviously when one attempts this (overtaking) vehicles can come unexpectedly. This does not merit disqualification.''
