The youngest person pulled up for suspected drunken driving was 16-years-old while the oldest was 76.
Police also revealed that 11 accidents have been caused by drunken drivers this year.
During last month alone 28 people were arrested for driving while impaired compared to 24 people in March of 1991.
And the number of people arrested last month nearly doubled compared to February when 13 arrests for drunken driving were made.
But accidents caused by drunk drivers last month went down to four from eight in March of 1991.
Of the 28 people arrested for the offence last month, 21 failed the breathalyser test, three refused and four passed.
