The victim was detained in the Intensive Care Unit of King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after suffering head injuries in the crash.

According to a Police report, the man was travelling east on a cycle on South Road, Southampton, when he was involved in a collision with a taxi travelling in the opposite direction.
