Premier Jennifer Smith last month had asked Dame Lois to look into the matter following reports that several schemes had taken the Island by storm. The office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has jurisdiction over criminal matters and said that the schemes contravene the Lotteries Act.
UBP MP John Barritt had criticised Government's move in seeking advice from the attorney general. But Dame Lois said that no one could prevent her from "talking with the Cabinet''.
Thousands of residents including high-ranking police officers and some bank personnel were alleged to have been at the helm of some of the schemes which promised high returns.
