And there have been so many local donations of food, clothing and other essentials to the Medjugorje Peace Plan Group that a third container will soon be sent across the Atlantic.

Early efforts to ship the goods were delayed by difficulties in finding a landing destination near the refugee camps.

But a spokesperson for the group said the problem had been overcome and the two containers were expected to reach the Karitas Relief Agency in Zaider, Croatia in about a month.

From there the items will be forwarded to Kosovo refugees throughout the region.
