Education Minister the Hon. Clarence Terceira paid tribute to the Teen Forums held over three days, which he said were "very informative,'' and drew an "extraordinary response'' from the young people who attended.
He singled out master of ceremonies Ms Tina Caines of Government Information Services, as well as officials from the Department of Health and Minister of Health the Hon. Quinton Edness .
For his part, Mr. Edness congratulated Shadow Health Minister Mr. Nelson Bascome for his role in the World AIDS Day activities.
Mr. Edness also thanked guest speaker Mrs. Debra Frazer Howe of New York for her frank remarks.
Mr. Bascome returned the "good tidings'' from Mr. Edness. Along with his congratulations, he added his sympathy to Mrs. Frazer Howe, because "she was attacked verbally by one of our residents''.
Premier the Hon. Sir John Swan sent condolences to Mr. Harry Soares MP and his brother John on the death of their mother, Mrs. Elise Soares.
