Bermuda top in Caribbean
Bermuda in a leading travel magazine.
Bermuda beat out second-place winner St. Bart's and number three winner the British Virgin Islands in Travel & Leisure's World's Best Awards.
Four local hotels made the top 25 ranking in the World's Best Hotels in the Caribbean, the Bahamas and Bermuda including the Southampton Princess at 11th, Cambridge Beaches at 12th, the Reefs at 13 and the Hamilton Princess at 25.
And Bermuda had more hotels in the top 25 than any other island in the region.
The winners of this year's World's Best Awards can be found in the September issue of Travel & Leisure.
Maui was picked as the World's Best Island and Singapore Airlines ranked first in every airline category from cabin comfort to on-time record.
Sydney, Australia was voted the World's Best City and the Hotel Ritz in Paris won World's Best Hotel.
And the Mala Mala Game Reserve in South Africa -- with hundreds of species of animals running wild -- has been named the World's Best Small Hotel.
