Timothy Sewell, 17, of St. Luke's Lane, also admitted to having no third party insurance, fraudulent use of documents and driving while disqualified by age when he appeared in Magistrates' Court.
He was stopped by Police on February 19 as he was riding down Front Street.
Crown counsel Cindy Clarke told the court the auxiliary cycle he was using had an oversized engine fitted into it.
Magistrate Archie Warner fined him $1,000 for having no third party insurance, $400 for driving while disqualified, $250 for having no vehicle licence and $300 for fraudulent use of documents.
