And residents interviewed yesterday said insurance had covered the damage which included blown-off roofs and smashed windows.

Homes in the Bob's Valley area, which was the worst hit, are almost back to normal.

There was just one home still awaiting repairs to its roof, half of which was blown off.

Repairs are expected to total at least $25,000 said a tenant, who did not wish to be identified.

And he welcomed news that a community group will be holding a dance this weekend to help raise money for those hit physically and financially by April's tornado.

The St. James Dance Group, which formed more than 50 years ago with the aim of promoting fellowship through dance, will host the record hop at Somerset Cricket Club on Saturday, beginning at 9 p.m.

The dance will feature music from the fifties and sixties and some demonstration dances.

It follows an "Old Fashioned Grand Ball'' held on May 1.

Everyone is invited to put on "jeans, wide skirts, and bobby socks'' and join in Saturday's fun, the dance group said.

Admission is $10 per person. There will be refreshments and a cash bar.

Tickets for the record hop are available from group members, including president Mr. Geoffrey Butler-Durrant, vice president Mrs. Brenda Wingood, secretary Mrs. Diana Turner, assistant secretary Mrs. Patricia Burchall, treasurer Mrs. Marita Bailey-Thompson, dance instructor Mr. Winfield Todd, public relations officer Mrs. Carol Wade, and entertainment coordinator Mrs.

Sandra Little.
