trousers and walking out of a supermarket, Magistrates' Court heard this week.

Dennis N. Lightbourne, 42, pleaded guilty to taking the alcohol, valued at $6.45, from the Modern Mart in Paget on November 27.

Sgt. Peter Giles, prosecuting, said Lightbourne entered Modern Mart and put the flask-like bottle of Dewar's whiskey inside his trousers. Lightbourne then got a beer and paid for that at the cash register before walking out.

He was stopped by the assistant manager, said Sgt. Giles, and Police were called. When arrested, Lightbourne reportedly said, "I'm sorry. I don't know what got into me.'' Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis fined Lightbourne $50.
