Candidates urge prayer for victims of Mitch
Two Warwick West candidates have called on the public to say prayers for victims of Hurricane Mitch in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Quinton Edness, said that although this is a busy time for Bermudians, he wanted to encourage them to look out for people who are not as fortunate as themselves.
Mr. Edness, also speaking on behalf of running mate Yvett Swan, said the horror of having hundreds dead and thousands injured in the disastrous category five hurricane last week.
He said he wanted to work toward sending relief to some of the wind and flood ravaged countries "to help them out''.
Mr. Edness added: "They should go to the church of their choice around noon and say a prayer for the victims of Hurricane Mitch.'' "We're going to do the same,'' he said. "We feel it heavily on our hearts.'' HURRICANE HUR CHURCH CHU
