The charges were laid after the Warwick teenager took the cheque -- worth $555.64 -- to the Southampton Princess branch of the Bank of Butterfield, signed it in its owner's name and cashed it.

Police were alerted after KFC manager Mya Fitzsimmons noticed the cheque was missing from her office, which Williams had visited on the day in question.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis fined Williams $200 for each charge and said the $555.64 was to be deducted and returned to its rightful owner.
