DAB gives green light for housing complex
come before the Development Applications Board recently.
The housing complex -- including 10 dwelling units and a swimming pool -- was granted in-principle approval.
It is planned for Tribe Road Number 2 in Warwick by developers Mr. Alfred and Gilbert Perry.
The DAB granted its approval on the conditions that it oversee all details of the project, that no part of the development encroach on a nearby "arable buffer zone'' and that the developers submit a comprehensive landscaping scheme.
The Board also required that the applicants resolve "the method by which Tribe Road Number 2 shall be upgraded to accommodate the traffic generated'' with the Planning Department and the Works and Engineering Ministry.
Meanwhile, the DAB has also given planning permission to Gibbons Management Services to build a recreational facility on Long Island in Warwick.
Permission was granted on the condition that no demolition or site clearance be started until protective fencing went up, that a nearby nature reserve be roped off during construction and that no storage or excavated material be stored on the site during the building period.
Gibbons Management was also required to secure a building permit.
At the same meeting, the DAB gave planning permission to the Robin Hood Pub and Restaurant in Pembroke for new French doors and alterations to its pergola.
Permission was granted to the Richmond Road establishment on the condition that it not reduce the number of on-site parking bays without the Board's approval.
