Testament Church of God on 83 North Shore Road to expand its facilities for Sunday school classes.
The Board ruled the application failed to provide sufficient information and that the scale and overall appearance of the expansion would be detrimental to the area.
When reached for comment the Reverend Dorothy Tuzo, of the Church of God Miracle Temple, told The Royal Gazette there were no plans to appeal the ruling.
Between 85 to 110 students currently attend Sunday school in the church's one-room sanctuary, Rev. Tuzo said.
Meanwhile plans for phase one of commercial and service yard renovations for the Princess Hotel by Waterloo Properties Ltd., of 92 Pitts Bay Road, Hamilton, were deferred pending additional information.
