Date set for PI on jail-break
reputed prison breakout of convicted sex attacker Brian Carlton Rogers two years ago was scheduled for June 14 and 15 in Magistrates' Court on Friday.
Rogers, 33, has been charged with one count of escaping from custody, two counts of trespassing, one count of breaking and entering and one count of robbery.
The charges stem from an alleged crime spree in the days after the defendant's reported escape from the Prison Farm in St. George's in December of 1993.
Rogers, who had been jailed for ten years in February of 1991, allegedly escaped by climbing through a bathroom window.
He was apprehended by Police a week later after a dramatic foot chase through Pembroke.
Rogers' case will be prosecuted in Magistrates' Court by Crown Counsel Mr.
Philip Storr.
