Deportee returns

Julio Rosado, 38, was picked up for heroin possession and will now spend the rest of his visit in Casemates.
On Monday, narcotics officers searched a home in Stadium Heights, Devonshire where Rosado was staying, Magistrates' Court heard yesterday.
Sgt. Ken James, prosecuting, said a plastic twist containing 0.96 grammes of heroin was found in Rosado's pants pocket, along with a straw used for snorting.
The drug was 29 percent pure, the court heard. Rosado admitted possessing both items.
Sgt. James said the defendant, a US citizen, got into the Island under another name.
He had earlier spent two years in Casemates for a similar offence, and was deported in March last year.
Rosado's lawyer, Sen. Larry Scott, told Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis: "This is a rather sad situation. Mr. Rosado came to Bermuda to visit a friend.
"My client admits he has a serious drug problem. The drugs that he had in his possession were for his own use. The situation simply got totally out of hand.'' Rosado had been totally cooperative with Police.
Mr. Scott asked that a fine be imposed rather than prison, but Crown counsel Mr. Brian Calhoun, also in court, objected.
Mr. Francis sent Rosado to jail for three months and recommended he be deported at the end of his sentence.
