young families and the elderly.

The Development Applications Board has received a submission from development company Perryville Ltd. to build an estate of 17 homes and a nursery on land on South Shore Road, Warwick. The site is located off Tribe Road Number Two near the proposed Arnold's Supermarket site.

The development will consist of two three-bedroom houses, a single two-bedroom house and ten one bedroom properties, along with another four one bedroom properties designed specifically for the elderly.

There will also be a nursery, parking bays, swimming pool and spacious grounds.

In a letter to the Development Applications Board, Ian Gordon, director of Entasis, the architectural firm which has designed the estate, said: "The proposed development will consist of a range of housing types which are targeted at the lower end of the market.

"Our client envisages a mixture of one, two and three bedroom town houses and apartments and a number of single-storey one bedroom units for the elderly.

"In addition the above application in principle is sought for a social use such as a small nursery facility.

"The site lends itself to the above mix of uses due to its location adjacent to a bus stop, a proposed supermarket and by a well established neighbourhood.

"The social use as a nursery or doctor's office will compliment the adjacent local service facilities.'' When contacted by The Royal Gazette Mr. Gordon could not say when the project will be built.

"It's far too early to say,'' Mr. Gordon said.
