Devonshire wall product of `sick minds', MP says
Progressive Labour Party leader Frederick Wade was yesterday branded the product of "sick minds''.
The vandalism -- on a wall recently painted over to cover a death threat aimed at Mr. Wade during the Independence debate last year -- borders Palmetto Road, Devonshire.
The misspelt message on the wall of Devonshire Rec says "Independent Zone -- No gays, no foriegnas, no PLP. RIP.'' Works and Engineering Minister Leonard Gibbons was yesterday off the Island and unavailable for comment.
But Devonshire North MP Lois Browne Evans, who was Mr. Wade's running mate, dismissed the graffiti.
She said: "I don't have any comment to make -- there are people with sick minds who write on walls.
"Mr. Wade didn't worry about the previous grafitti and neither did I. I'm not going to worry about this.'' WRITING ON THE WALL -- Offensive graffiti sprayed on a wall in the constituency of the late Progressive Labour Party leader Frederick Wade.
