Police spokesman P.c. Gary Vennings said 14 drivers had been arrested following accidents.
"Motorists should make arrangements for alternative transport or select a designated driver if they intend drinking during this very active weekend,'' P.c. Venning said, referring to Cup Match.
"Police patrols will be seeking those drivers who fail to heed the advice.''
