Police said the fan made off with a Jerry Springer video tape from Leisure Time on Queen Street at 7 p.m. The suspect entered the store, walked to the rear, and as he exited a security alarm was triggered.

The culprit escaped by hopping onto an auxiliary cycle and travelling along the sidewalk of the one-way street.
