Former Govt. employee fined $750 for stealing bus tickets
earlier this week after he pleaded guilty to stealing more than $900 worth of bus tokens and tickets over 11 months.
Kendall Minors, of Paynter Lane, Sandy's Parish originally pleaded not guilty to the crime on November 17 and a trial date was set for April 23 but his lawyer Miss Elizabeth Christopher brought him before the courts early.
Police prosecutor Insp. Peter Duffy said Minors admitted stealing the bus tokens and tickets worth $931.47 between November 1, 1994 and October 27 while he was an employee of the Bermuda Government.
Miss Christopher said Minors had resigned from his job because of the embarrassment.

The youth was last night in King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
But a nursing supervisor refused to release information on his condition.
Earlier yesterday, a Police spokesman said the youth, who was riding a Yamaha motorcycle on Wednesday evening, collided with a Mazda 323 travelling west on Middle Road as he tried to overtake it at Bostock Hill.
After making inquiries, Police discovered that the cycle had been stolen earlier in the day.
