The Odyssey Night Club security officer needed hospital treatment after being reportedly punched and hit in the face with a glass.
Police say the incident occurred at about 2.10 a.m. yesterday when the guard was dealing with an unruly customer.
He was cut above his left eye by a punch in the face, while another customer hurled a glass at him.
Seven weeks ago, Police were called to Odyssey after two men started fighting outside the club. As officers tried to break up the fight, they ran headlong into a mob.
Also over this weekend, a Policeman needed hospital treatment for a shoulder injury following another Front Street fracas.
Police arrested two men who had been fighting near Fagan's Alley shortly before 3 a.m. yesterday.
One of the men, aged 23, was detained but the other ran towards King Street.
An officer gave chase and arrested the man, but not before being hurt in a violent struggle.
Police said the alleged 18-year-old offender was taken to Hamilton for questioning.
In the St. George's incident, a 15-year-old was arrested after Police went to Water Street shortly before midnight on Saturday following a report of fighting.
When they arrived, they found a group of youths, but any trouble had died down.
Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said a 15-year-old boy became abusive after being advised to go home.
"A violent struggle took place but he was eventually detained and taken to St. George's Police Station where he continued to fight with the arresting officer.
"His parents were summoned and following questioning he was released into their custody.''
