House of Assembly on Friday.

Transport Minister Wayne Furbert said Mr. Joseph King of Hamilton Parish worked 40 years for the Ministry, retiring as a superintendent who was responsible for many road improvements, especially those along the South Shore and on East Broadway.

He loved horses and was a devoted family man, said Mr. Furbert, who asked that a letter of condolence be sent to Mr. King's survivors.

Works & Engineering Minister Leonard Gibbons described Mr. King as "a loyal, dedicated hard-working employee and certainly an example for young people to follow.'' Shadow Transport Minister Dennis Lister asked that condolences be sent to the family of Mrs. Gail Joycelyn Bernice Raynor of Southampton, who died recently.

"It's always very sad when we lose a young person,'' and this young woman was survived by three young children and her husband Raymond, Mr. Lister said.

Mr. Lister also asked that condolences be sent to the family of Mr. Eldon (Babes) Roberts of Somerset, the uncle of Mr. Walter Roberts MP.

The former mason later managed the Collector's Hill gas station, Mr. Lister said.

Technology and Information Minister John Barritt asked that condolences be sent to the family of Mr. Wilbur (Buddy) Franklin, who died recently.

After working many years at Meyer Agencies, Mr. Franklin started his own firm, Franklin Travel, Mr. Barritt said.

"The community is the poorer for his untimely passing at a relatively young age,'' he said.
