Hunt on for new College president
The Bermuda College Board of Governors and the Education Ministry will be working together to recruit an interim president for the College.
The position of interim president will be a temporary measure, based on a three-year fixed term post.
And one year into the Interim's presidency, the Board will begin an extensive search for a permanent College president.
A College spokesperson said: "It is intended that a suitably qualified and experienced Bermudian candidate will be appointed.'' The permanent president will be appointed designate President and will work with the interim president to "ensure a smooth transfer of duties and responsibilities at the end of the fixed term''.
The interim president is expected to have at least 10 years administrative and leadership experience as a college president or vice-president, or similar post.
The applicant will be required to have academic qualifications at the doctoral level from an internationally recognised university.
The College spokesperson said: "The College is in the process of `An External Analysis and Organisational Audit' and the interim president will be responsible to lead his/her team to deliver the audit recommendations.'' Acting College President, Dr. Larita Alford, is expected to continue in her role until the interim president is appointed.
